ONL-X: Centre for Excellence ID Camps

Attention Athletes!

If you plan be in high school this fall, and are looking for an enhanced club basketball experience, then you may be the perfect fit for ONL-X!

The ONL-X: Centre for Excellence model was designed to provide additional value for student athletes who may be/are looking to play post-secondary basketball. Program Founder and Director, Andrew Dimillo, provides his views:

“I really wanted to create a platform where high level athletes - who aren’t looking to play prep,  but are still interested in training and competing at a very high level - can really learn the game and experience what it’s like to train and practice like a college or university player. It’s definitely not for everybody - but we know there are players who want and need this in our club and our community and we felt that now was a good time to give them the chance to explore something new… especially after having been off for so long.”

The ONL-X boys program is an intensive, 10 month training and competition program, including:
  • multiple team practices and sessions per week (4-5 days per week)
  • a wide range of various physical training sessions, with focuses on strength, conditioning, agility, explosiveness, self care (physical health), rehabilitation and injury prevention
  • access to sessions/seminars from professionals who specialize in sports psychology, nutrition, leadership, etc.
  • access to state of the art resources and technology to help players learn the game of basketball at a high level
  • regular competition (often involving travel) at the highest levels of club basketball in Canada, and the opportunity to also compete in the US
  • identification and promotion of athletes in attempts to garner interest from Canadian universities and college
  • academic support and resources
  • coaching and mentorship from experienced and dedicated coaching staffs
  • engagement within the local community - notably within the KYBA
And much more!

We will also feature an ONL-X girls program, which will include:
  • the opportunity for girls on our high school aged ONL teams to train and take part in sessions which would supplement the time they spend with their ONL teams
  • access to many of the same resources found in the boys program
  • dedicated training staff to lead training sessions and supplemental basketball development
The ONL-X rosters will be selected in August through an identification camp process. Identification camps will involve 5, two-hour sessions in a single week in which the coaching staff will evaluate player skills and fit in the program. Dates, times and locations will be announced in late July.

Identification camp attendance will be by invite only. Those selected to partake will be notified two weeks prior to the ID camp sessions.

If you would like to be considered for one of the limited spots in the identification camps, please complete the following form:

The form will officially close on July 11th, 2021 at 11:59 pm ET.

We look forward to providing new opportunities for our members at all levels in the near future. Be sure to check our website and our social media pages (listed below) for updates on our programming!
