ONL Tryout Schedule - 2023

- All of our ONL teams will have 3 x 2hr practices per week and will participate in both league and tournament play (with travel). All teams collect team fees over and above the registration fee to cover these team expenses for the season.

- Girls: All girls should plan to attend all listed tryouts for the birth year they are trying out for
- Boys: All boys should plan to attend the first tryout for the birth year they are trying out for (Take note for those with alphabetical listings and ensure the appropriate tryout for your last name); Evaluating coaches will then provide instructions on which tryouts to attend thereafter. Players will not necessarily attend all listed tryouts, but all players are guaranteed to attend at least 2 tryout sessions.
- All players must register and pay a tryout fee in order to try out for an Ottawa Next Level team. Unregistered players CANNOT be named to an ONL roster.
- No walk-ins permitted. Tryout Registration for 2023-2024 will be ONLINE ONLY. ONL Tryout Registration Form
- Online registration for any given team will close 24 hours before the first tryout. No exceptions. This allows us to prepare tryout lists for coaches, and for coaches to plan effective tryout sessions.
- Please ensure you provide an accurate email address during tryout registration, and ensure you opt-in to receive emails from KYBA, to ensure you receive important information regarding tryouts. NOTE: YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE EMAIL REMINDERS TO ATTEND, REGISTRANTS MUST PLAN TO ATTEND ALL TRYOUTS LISTED UNLESS OTHERWISE INFORMED.
- Tryout registration is by birth year eligibility. If you wish to "try up" to play up at an older age level, please notify our Administrator. Note: It is only in rare circumstances that a player of extraordinary ability will play up. If a player attends tryouts for their birth year and coaches feel they may be a prospect to play up they will provide further details.
- Bring a water bottle, indoor shoes (outdoor footwear not permitted in gyms by players, coaches or parents)
- Arrive ~10 minutes early to check in and change shoes; note school doors are only unlocked at 6pm for evening tryouts. Volunteers will meet you at the door to the school.
- For Bantam and Above (ie. U13-U18), tryouts will be large, so parents will not be permitted in the tryouts. For U10-U12 tryouts, parents may stay and observe in the gym. No players or family members are permitted anywhere else in the schools during tryouts. No loitering is permitted in hallways, foyers, lunchroom etc while family members wait for their players. We thank you for your understanding.
- We wish the best of luck to all players trying out with us this season! Tryouts should be considered an opportunity to learn and grow and we hope it will be a positive experience for all of you! Our evaluating coaches are looking forward to seeing all of the players!
