KYBA has already been busy planning for our 2019-20 season - with many gym permit applications submitted, coach training planned, improved policies and communication strategies! KYBA offers both house league and competitive programs, to over 1000 youth ages 5-19. Our house league teams operate under Kanata Cavaliers for all ages; while our competitive teams operate under our Ottawa Next Level (ONL) banner, with boys teams from ages U10-U19 and girls teams from U12-U19. KYBA cannot offer programs to over 1000 youth without the dedication of hundreds of volunteer coaches who make it possible - for both our house league and our competitive teams. KYBA also relies on volunteer convenors to manage house league divisions, form balanced rosters and set schedules. Are you a member looking to get involved in convening or coaching? Our house league VP's are always looking for coaches - having our coaches in place early allows us to better plan for the upcoming season. KYBA provides training to all of our coaches - and has been planning an expanded training program for our house league coaches for the upcoming season. Coaches are supported in their coaching and administratively through the season.
Convenors are required for each age division (novice, atom, bantam, midget and juvenile) for both girls and boys house leagues. Convenors help to put together balanced rosters and set the schedule for their division - along with the help of their division coaches, and all the while being supported administratively by KYBA.
