A weekend in review!

After a long drive to Welland, the Next Level squad got off to a sluggish start in Friday evening action, but managed to defeat Motion West 55-46 to start the tournament with a win. 

Saturday afternoon Next Level beat a strong Malton Mavericks team, 67-56.  In the last game of pool play, Next Level squeaked by the Kingston Impact 50-49 to finish first in pool B with a perfect 3-0 record. This success earned Next Level a semi-final match-up versus the York Stingers.  Next Level disposed of the Stingers 57-42 and headed, undefeated, for the gold medal game on Sunday afternoon. 

A skilled and athletic Brampton Warriors team gave the Next Level squad a real battle for the tournament championship. When the final buzzer sounded, Next Level was on the wrong end of a 52-36 final score. That single loss resulted in silver medals for the Next Level team. 

Despite the final loss, Next Level enjoyed a very successful championship weekend!
