ONL U12 Girls Win Div 2 Gold at Mike O'Connor Memorial Tournament

Congratulations to players and coaches of our ONL U12 Girls team on winning Div 2 Gold at the Mike O'Connor Memorial Tournament from Feb 9-11! A nail-biter 42-40 overtime win brought home the gold for the girls, after also winning the skills competition on the weekend.

This win has given the team a very proud moment, the culmination of lots of hard work to this point.  A couple of weeks ago they competed at Brockville's Stacey Dales tournament and won their first team medal... a bronze.  In all of the excitement, the team didn't get a post-game picture of their first medal win.  In the weeks following they've tried to re-enact that post-game picture, but have been hit hard by the flu and haven't had the whole team available for it!  Even this weekend, they had players fighting the flu who couldn't be at all of the games.  In the end, they'd like to give a big shout-out to the KYBA Atom Girls Selects call-ups who were able to help them out and support them in their big win at Mike O'Connor!
